Mike Santiago is a self-taught programmer with experience building user-driven applications, APIs/libraries, websites, and games. At 13, he published his first GitHub repository and at age 16 would go on to create DiscordSharp, an easy-to-use open-source C# library for creating Discord bots. DiscordSharp was later forked and continued on by another team as DSharpPlus. He enjoys ending long programming sessions with a drum session.
Falco Girgis' famous Adventures in Game Development did not scare me away from the realities of game development, instead, it ignited a flame within me that has yet to be quenched.
I consider Super Metroid to be my all-time favorite game, once a year every year I replay it. The game's atmosphere and large feel continue to blow my mind despite how technically limited the SNES is today.
